The Stephen Ministry is a lay ministry program that equips people to provide Christian care to those experiencing all kinds of life needs. Through a confidential, one-on-one caring relationship with a Stephen Minister, someone experiencing challenging times can receive the care and support that they need. As a lay ministry this caring is not designed to replace professional counseling, but is meant to offer a trained lay person to walk along side a fellow Christian in pain.
The training takes place from November to May. On completion of training the participants are commissioned. One of our trained Stephen Ministers will then be assigned to a parishioner who has made a request.
