Over the next few months several refugee families will be arriving from countries around the world and resettling in the Hartford area. These families have been authorized by the US Department of State to live and work here in the US where they can be safe away from the fear of persecution they suffered in their homeland. There are three ways you can help Migration and Refugee Services to resettle these families.
1. Donate household items and furniture
2. Volunteer on a one-time or ongoing basis
3. Connect them with jobs and affordable 2 or 3 bedroom apartments in Hartford, East Hartford, Manchester or New Britain.
