The Parish Council thanks all who attended the Special Meeting on May 31 to offer input on the Recommendations Report (for the time at which St. Mary's sees a decrease in the number of priests assigned to us, whenever that may occur). One of the goals contained in the Council's by-laws is to "provide opportunities for constructive dialogue within the parish" and the Special Meeting afforded our parish one such opportunity. We were grateful to be presented with ideas for us to consider yet also uplifted to hear the affirmation of much of the work that the council has put into this issue. Change is rarely easy to accept, but the goal through this entire process which began in 2010 has to have a plan for which St. Mary's can refer to whenever the time arrives that we are forced into a change because of clergy staffing.
