"But I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world."
John 16:33
When death happens, particularly a tragic event, and children need to be informed, it's best they hear it from their parents -- someone they trust -- rather than from someone else or, worse yet, being left to figure things out for themselves .
Our parish is fortunate to have a dedicated group of Stephen Ministers to assist our neighbors in their time of need. Linda Duff coordinates our Stephen Ministry and offers this presentation about the important aspects of discussing these difficult issues with children.
