What is Alpha?
Are you curious? Perhaps skeptical? Or maybe you are just seeking some answers to life’s deeper questions. If those resonate with you at all…Alpha is for you!
Alpha is a 10-week program that provides an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith, in a friendly, open and informal environment.
Alpha is not so much a course, but an experience! Gathering at St. Mary’s over an ten week period, each Alpha brings together people from every walk of life.
Who Is Alpha For?
Alpha is for everyone and anyone. The beauty of Alpha is that there are no questions that are too hostile, too silly, or too simple.
Alpha has no prerequisites whatsoever. We come together with one another as we are, free to be ourselves.
Many join for different reasons, with different backgrounds and points of view, but all are seeking to find whether Jesus and Christianity have any relevance for their life.
What To Expect
Each week follows the same pattern. A fun, informal time of fellowship around a delicious meal, a talk highlighting an important part of Christian thinking, followed by honest small group discussion.
You will find yourself not only learning from the presentation but also realize that you are building genuine relationships through engaging in open dialog with your group.
Serving With Alpha
Alpha needs many hands and hearts to help it run smoothly each season. From welcoming guests, to cooking, to leading discussion, there is a place for you to serve on the Alpha Team.
